WebJul 2, 2024 · The Rochdale Observer newspaper was founded in 1856, reflecting the town’s new civic identity. In the 1950s, its old headquarters were replaced by new offices. This was one of Rochdale’s first post-war buildings, although its design by Frank Bradley of Bolton harks back to the 1930s fashion for Art Deco.
